Archway Skydiving Center offers you the most advanced and highest quality
training in the area. Rather than simply focusing on freefall, at Archway, you'll learn the fundamentals of all aspects of skydiving; including exits, freefall skills, and canopy skills.
Regardless of how you made your first jump, you can continue your training with either of our two packages,
both of which are designed to maximize your learning experience and provide you with a solid foundation for
becoming an expert skydiver.
Each program covers the skills and jump requirements to obtain an "A" license from the United States
Parachute Association. Your price includes one-on-one instruction, equipment rental, the jump itself, and
a fully illustrated 60 page manual with reference material and training guides.

Training Programs
Traditional Training Program
Cost: $1,445.00
The Traditional Training Package allows you to
make every jump SOLO! In the beginning you'll
learn basic body position with a static line
assisted parachute deployment on your first 5
jumps. After mastering these skills, you'll move
to freefall and progress on skills and/or altitude
with each jump.
Archway has been using this training method
for over 36 years with much success. Some
of the best skydivers in the country trained
through this program.
Millennium Training Program
Cost: $2,355.00
The training package for the new millennium
begins with 3 tandem skydives, where you will
work on specific skills in freefall and under
canopy, with your instructor in a harness
designed for two people. After demonstrating
these skills, you'll complete a ground school
and begin jumping with your own parachute and
an instructor at your side.
Most jumps in this program are at the highest
altitudes allowable. This program is one of the
most progressive in the country.
Accelerated Freefall Training Program
Cost: $2,335.00
The Accelerated Freefall training package also allows you to make all your skydives from the highest altitudes allowable. You will begin with 2 instructors, one on each side of you. After demonstrating fundemental skills, you will advance to a single instructor, and then finally to the coached phase of the program.
This program offers you the advantages of solo skydives and high altitudes, combining the benefits of both of the Traditional and Millennium Programs into one.
Note: Prices exclude USPA Membership and License Fees
(currently approximately $71.00) and assume that jumps
will not need to be repeated.
Program Structure
Each program consists of 4 training phases:
- Fundemental Skills - In this phase you will learn the fundemental skills necessary to become a licensed skydiver. The skydives in this phase are specifically designed for the program in which you are enrolled.
- Coached Skydives - Regardless of which training program you choose, once you complete the fundemental skills phase, you will move to coached skydives. The skydives in this phase are the same for all 3 programs. Here you will be freefalling with a USPA rated Coach/Instructor and building on, and fine tuning, the fundementals you learned in the first phase.
- Solo Skydives & Practive Jumps - Each program has a different amount of solo skydives where you practice what you learned in preparation for your A license check dive. This is a good time to work on your canopy flight skills and landing accuracy. Coaching is available during this phase for an additional cost.
- A License Check Dive - Your final step in obtaining your license is your check dive. Here you will design your skydive where you demonstrate a specific set of skills to your instructor.
